| After transport to
the port of Halifax, the pellets are stored in silos awaiting the arrival of the bulk
carriers. Though its on-staff shipping professionals FFF has vessels under long term
contract capable of transporting up to 25,000 metric tons of pellets per voyage. |
|
These vessels are
also used to transport grain and steel coils and which are among the cargos most sensitive
to water damage. Those vessels normally have six hatches which enables us to
segregate cargoes having different specifications. Shown here is one of the vessels
that recently carried 11,000 tons of pellets to a European customer.
